Make A Room Booking

Students' Union Meeting Rooms

All societies and SU Volunteering Groups can book rooms in the Students' Union's Bulding on Oxford Road. Using the room information table below and the room availability calendar you can identify the most suitable venue and availability for your society. To request a room, please select book a room (rooms are available to use and can be booked up to four weeks in advance).

*If you're holding an event that has visiting speakers (from the university or external organisations), or may raise discussions around controversial topics - please let us know at the time of booking - at least 21 calendar days (three weeks) before the event (not doing this may delay the booking process and affect your event).

**Please be aware: The Students' Union building does not open until 12 noon on Sundays. If you wish to book rooms before this time there will be costs incurred. Please contact your coordinator :)

Room Availability

University Rooms

The University has a wide variety of rooms that we can arrange for societies to hire. Available rooms vary as teaching timetables change each semester, but if you are looking for a specific setting, e.g. a lecture theatre or seminar room we can find out what is available to meet your needs. Charges may apply for booking University rooms, particularly after 5pm and at weekends as follows:

Current Portering Charges for up to 100 people in attendance are as follows:-

Weekdays (Before 9am and after 5pm) £21.75 per hour

Saturday (All Day) £21.75 per hour

Sunday (All Day) £29.00 per hour (minimum booking 4 hours)

University Place do not charge for portering in rooms on a weekday unless your booking request is before 9am or after 9pm.  Lecture Theatres will be charged for on a weekday before 9am and after 5pm as per all other venues across campus.

Equipment in rooms is charged for on a separate basis with the university Media Department.  This can be arranged at the time of booking when you receive your unique booking code.
