Running a society is a rewarding thing to do - for many reasons.
You could make friends and have fun doing something you love, something worthwhile. You could be bringing your interest to a wider audience, helping others appreciate it too. You will improve your organisation, planning and communication, broaden your mind and learn to handle all sorts of situations. You might find skills you never knew you had! And never underestimate the CV-boosting effect of being active on the committee for a society; it shows responsibility and dedication employers are keen to have.
With all these benefits, what's stopping you? It's really easy to set up. All you need is to fill in a few forms (pick them up from the Activities Office) and get signatures of those who are interested in joining.
For more information, please visit the Activities Office on the first floor of the Students' Union.
