Your World Event FAQs

Do you have any questions about our Global Fest events? No problem, other people do too. Here are some of our FAQs:

What do I need to wear/do I need sportswear for the Bollywood Dance Class?

Wear whatever you’re comfortable in. Feel free to remove your shoes and socks or come in trainers or dance shoes.

Is the Calligraphy session drop-in or do I have to stay the whole time?

The Calligraphy session will run from 16:00 - 17:00 and there will be a chance to practise afterwards - it is recommended that you attend the whole session if possible.

Do I have to register to perform at the Open Mic? What sort of performances are you looking for?

Anything you like! We have poetry, spoken word and musical performances - please use the sign up sheet to confirm your attendance as soon as possible though.

No, that’s free too!

How many tickets can I buy for Global Night?

Unlimited!

Can I bring a non-student to Global Night/other events?

Student Parents/Carers are encouraged to bring families or children. Global Fest is aimed at students but members of the community are welcome too.

If we leave the Global Night venue will we be able to get back in?

Yes, please ensure you communicate this to a staff member/volunteer on the night.

Is Recognise Refugee Rights drop-in or is it a lecture?

This event is a speaker event with Q&A so it’d be great if you could stay for the whole thing!
