Senate Reps

What are Senate Reps?

 

There are 6 reserved spaces on our student Senate for one of each of the following:

  • A Student Parent

  • A Student Carer

  • A Student Living at Home

  • A Part-time Student

  • A Mature Student

  • A Distance-learner Student

This is because these students face specific challenges at University and we want to ensure their opinions are represented in our democratic structures. Senate Reps have a voting seat on Senate and they sit on a variety of Senate Committees. They will be elected at the Senate meeting on Thursday 10th November. 

 

Who can be a Senate Rep?

Any registered student can stand to be a Senate Rep provided they fit the description of the position. 

How do I become a Senate Rep?

We are still looking for a Part-time student and a Student Carer to sit on the Student Senate. Please get in touch if you are interested in either positions.
