Where’s Your Head At?

Overwhelmed? Feeling Low? Too much to do?

Throughout the next five weeks we will be running a series of events called 'Where’s Your Head At?' to explore the wide variety of stress that our students face and different ways to tackle them. So if you're concerned about your upcoming exams, relationship problems, bullying and harassment, money issues or


anything else in-between then check out 'Where’s Your Head At?' whether you want to talk about it or just a distraction, there’ll be everything from conversation corners and meditation sessions to film screenings - so get involved!

LGBTQ+ Society

Do you scream for ice cream? Join the Women’s Ice Cream Social at Gelato Passion on the 10 April from 15:00 at 141 Wilmslow Rd, Manchester M14 5AW.

Be sure to come along on the 12 April to join in a workshop on disability access and inclusivity within the LGBTQ+ community in Room 3 of the SU, from 18:00 to 19:30.

ISoc End of Year Dinner 2016!

If you enjoyed our welcome dinner then make sure you come along to our final event of the year on the 20 April from 17:30! Catch up with friends and enjoy a delicious three course meal in Academy 1 with fantastic entertainment from Nabil Abdul Rashid and African drummers! Get a tickets for £10 now to mark the end of an incredible year - it's an evening not to be missed!


Community Spring Fun Day

Join us for some Spring fun on Sunday 17 April, 13:00 to 15:00 at Ashburne and Sheavyn Halls, M14 6HP. There’ll be lots to do for all the family including face painting, a bouncy castle, arts and crafts, outdoor games and even an egg hunt!

Support Guides!

Academic advisors and student support officers alongside the chaplaincy and international society will now have off-campus support guides in their offices as well as the Union! This follows the new breastfeeding friendly signs and visible highchairs in the SU - thanks to our off-campus coordinator, Miriam, for creating a more inclusive space!

NUS Candidate Hustings

To help inform decision making we are hosting a hustings on 12 April for National President and Vice Presidents positions. All the University of Manchester Students and other Students' Unions are welcome to attend to hear the candidates speak about the issues that matter to them!

Find out which ones will best represent you at a national level and mandate your NUS delegate to vote for them!


As this will be my last Diversity Digest I wanted to say thank you to everyone that I have worked with this year! It’s been an amazing experience and it’s great to look back on as the end is approaching.

I’d also like to introduce your new Diversity Officer, Ilyas Nagdee, and wish him all the best for the upcoming term - I can’t wait to see the amazing work you’ll do!
