To ease financial worries, many students seek work whilst they study. If you wish to look for work, job opportunities are regularly listed on the Students' Union website and at the University's Careers Service.
International students may be subject to conditions such as how many hours they can work. Students must check these before embarking on part-time work.
Charities and Trusts sometimes provide grants for students who are from a low income background or are experiencing financial hardship. If you wanted to try and apply for charitable support, you could look through directories of charities and trusts to see if there is any funding that you could be eligible for. You may want to use Educational Grants Directory, which is available in the University Careers Service (The Atrium, 1st Floor, University Place).
