Welcome to the University of Manchester Persian Society!

We aim to promote the understanding and appreciation of Persian culture. We offer this in the context of comity, as in the mutual respect and cooperation between peoples.


We provide opportunities for participation in cultural events and activities on themes such as arts, architecture, calligraphy, crafts, cuisine, family, fashion, film, folklore, food, games, history, language, literature, music, mythology, painting, philosophy of gardens, photography, poetry, recipes, storytelling, and theatre.


The Persian Society is part of the University of Manchester Students Union and operates on a voluntary, not-for-profit basis.
