The Support For Student Sex Workers Society is part of a larger sex worker led organisation, Support For Student Sex Workers, which protects all sex workers and people who identify with the sex work community.
We provide a safe space at UoM, for student sex workers to come and get support free from judgment, tailored to the needs of the individual.
We offer mental health support sessions, which can be done online, over the phone or in person. We also offer careers and academic advice, CV checks, wellbeing activities, opportunities to build creative portfolios and support with sexual assault on campus.
We are in partnership with larger organisations, through which sex workers are able to report sexual assault within sex work to the police, both anonymously and non anonymously, with our support.
Our team comprises of mental health professionals, creatives and people with lived experience.
We are looking for students at UoM to become part of the team, for the opportunity to be trained by mental health professionals in order to become one of our peer support workers. For details relating to this, please go to Support For Student Sex Workers on Facebook or email [email protected]
For urgent support, please contact [email protected] and we will get back to you within the day.
For tailored support on a less urgent basis, please visit our website: www.supportforstudentsexworkers.org or Support For Student Sex Workers on Facebook and a member of our team will always be happy to help.
