Working within our Marketing and Communications Team, you’ll help to support our internal and external communications activity, raising the profile of the Students’ Union, our Exec Team and our extensive commercial services.
Help one of the most recognisable names in Manchester entertainment continue to grow in the coming year. As part of the Manchester Academy Venues Team, you’ll help to manage and market Academy events, update social media, monitor ticket sales and support touring parties.
Join the Student Voice Team in helping students maximise their academic experience at the University of Manchester. You’ll support our Student Rep community, delivering events and training and help develop our relationship with this community and the wider University.
If you’re someone who cares about making a positive difference for local communities, volunteers and beneficiaries, this is the role for you. We support a wide range of outstanding student volunteers and fundraisers at the University of Manchester Students’ Union. You will join a thriving Student Activities team where you will play a key role in project co-ordination, fundraising and volunteer management. This includes supporting Student Action Volunteering, Raise and Give (RAG) and student societies.
Working with the Student Communities Manager, you’ll help to support students on Residents’ Association Committees with their activities, ensuring that issues such as integration, community building and health and safety are addressed. As well as enabling all students to feel welcomed and a part of the city.
In this varied role you’ll support the delivery of a range of Union flagship events, including Welcome Week, Celebrate Week, Exec Elections, Global Fest and Pangaea. You’ll also work closely with the Activities Team to support society events. At the end of this role you’ll be fully equipped with the skills needed to head large events and projects.

External Trustee Board Member
University of Manchester Students’ Union has a vacancy on its Trustee Board for an External Trustee. As well as serving on the Trustee Board, the successful candidate will also serve as a member of our Audit and Risk Committee.
