We're commited to the environment and try to do our bit where we can. From using recycled cups in Biko's cafe and providing free drinking water, to funding refurbished bicycles for students and providing onsite recycling facilities, caring for the environment is at the heart of everything we do. We've developed a comprehensive environmental policy that states what we've like to achieve in the future, click here to view the document.

We've got a strong ethical policy and we're pleased to sell a wide range of ethically sourced products in our shops and food outlets. Our ethical policy stipulates that any company the Union does business with must meet certain ethical standards, such as being free from forced, slave or child labour and not contributing to climate change.
We're very proud to have been awarded a Gold Green Impact Award for second year running. this award recognises all the work that we have done so far in making the Students' Union a greener, more ethical place.
We're currently working on reducing our food waste and the amount of packaging used in our food outlets. We're also sourcing more of our food from local producers.
