Register Your Society

Our students have formed over 400 societies at the Students' Union. From Action Palestine to Zoology, Drama to Board Games, Pharmacy to Photography, we're bound to have something for you.

 But if there isn't, you can always start your own! That's where we come in. Starting a society is a really rewarding way to get the most out of your time at University, as well as a great way to meet people with shared interests and to develop your skills.

From the 1st June to the 31st July is the window to re-register existing societies.
From 1st July to 15th November is the window to register a new society.

Re-registering a new society

If you are a current society and wish to re-register for 2016/2017, please log in to your society dashboard here to start the process. You'll need to your secure to log in (if you can't remember this, just ask your coordinator!). Make sure the details are submitted by the new committee!

Once you have logged in, you'll be asked to update your information and committee details. We'll be reviewing applications from July, so sit back, relax and we'll be in touch soon! If you have any questions before then, just ask your coordinator!

Creating a new society

If you want to start a new society, we'll be opening applications in July once we've started to confirm returning societies. Any application for a new society must not duplicate the aims of another, be focussed on commercial gain, or be in conflict with any part of the Union Constitution and Bye Laws. All new societies must be approved by the Approval Committee before activities can begin. We'll keep you up to date with the process, but if you have any questions, please email or call 01612 752940.
